Barnboard Harvest Table

This table was made from some two hundred year old fir beams that I salvaged out of a client's barn in Connecticut. I was able to bandsaw them into usable pieces and glue them up into a table and benches. Because of the beauty of the wood I just used a clear finish to bring out the character of the wood. Although they don't grow trees like this any more there is a large supply of old growth timber being reclaimed all over Vermont (and the country). I might even have a few more of these beams left for your project!
